SRF theory-based shunt active power filter for power quality improvement in grid-interfaced solar photovoltaic system

Abstract This paper uses Shunt Active Power Filter (SAPF) in a polluted and unbalanced mains voltage for the compensation of current harmonics along with reactive power. During reference is calculated by theory Synchronous Reference Frame (SRF). study utilizes Photovoltaic (PV) energy, renewable energy source, which maximum power point tracking (MPPT) method, an incremental conductance (InCnd), employed. To modify storage dc-voltage, artificial neural network controller (ANN) used. The system toolbox MATLAB/SIMULINK used to simulate being proposed. SAPF compared assessed on basis PI control, FUZZY controller, Artificial Neural Network (ANN). results demonstrate ANN control’s efficiency optimizing DC capacitor storage, sinusoidal form current, compensation. A low Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) will be achieved proposed shows efficacy method presented.
